McDonough PTA

Welcome to our Parent Teacher Association page. At McDonough School we recognize the important role that families play in a child's education. The level of parent involvement is one of the most important factors in determining how successful a student will be in school. The McDonough School PTA is where parents can make their connection to the McDonough School community. Parents are an important part of our school. We welcome you to become part of our PTA by attending PTA meetings and school events, notices will be sent out when meetings and events will take place.

The PTA sponsors family events like Fun Nights, Ice Cream Socials, parent workshops, and coffee hours with our principal, Mr. D. We sell popcorn on Fridays and have the School Store open on Fridays also. We conduct fundraisers, bake sales and special events throughout the school year to raise money for our school. The money raised helps pay for student field trips, classroom supplies, assemblies, and parent programs. We encourage you to become a volunteer to help make our events a success for our students. Please contact one of our PTA officers to start volunteering.

The McDonough School PTA is an affiliate of the National PTA. Membership dues are $6.00 per person. You do not have to be a member to attend the monthly meetings or help with events and activities in the school. Membership entitles you to vote at PTA meetings and to run for PTA offices. You may join the PTA at anytime during the year by contacting us.
